A wonderful product

This is a great product. It is easy to install and operate. I would recommend it to anyone who needs an easy to install and run, especially for home office.

Hard to start on the latest MAC

I have the latest MAC. Great PC. HOwever I had problems with the installation of the HP all-in-one. I called HP tech support and got a guy named Brian in Canada. If he is an example of HP's tech support they ROCK!!!!! Brian was great!!!! Not only did he get it working he got it to be wireless when this item is not intended to be wireless. I can't begin to praise the tech support and especially Brian enough. I am very, very happy with my purchase.

HP C9926A Auto Photo Feeder for ScanJet 4570 Series Scanners

Preserve you old memories with the HP ScanJet automatic photo feeder for your compatible HP scanner. It's so easy, just drop up 24 photos into the feeder and enjoy hands-free scanning of up to 24 of your 3 x 5" or 4 x 6" photos. The device is designed to protect old photos during the scanning process.
Customer Review: You Get What You Pay For
I bought this product with the intent of digitizing my family's photo collection, both pictures and negatives. It hasn't worked out. The auto photo feeder continually jams, I cannot simply put in a stack of photos and wait for it to finish - I have to poke and prod the photos through. Every few pictures, the photo will fail to eject completely out by a couple of millimeters, and the HP software will hang and I have to REBOOT my computer to continue. It does this with brand new prints as well as older ones. I got it working OK with a stack of stiff 3x5 index cards - but it just doesn't work for me with photos. It's great if you want to scan a bunch of blank cards. The TMA (Transparent Material Adapter) for slides and negatives is a pain to use. You have to use a two piece carrier to put the film into, then put it into the TMA, then remove the feeder, and then put the TMA onto the flatbed. It's easy to scratch your negatives while jamming them into the carrier used with the TMA. I did a couple of rolls of 35mm film; it took so long I gave up on that feature. The software controls for adjusting the scan are difficult to use and to learn. Maybe I am just used to PhotoShop, I just quit messing with it cause it took so long. The only thing I use my 5500c for now is copying documents and scanning a few pictures on the flatbed. I could have gotten something for a lot less money that would do this. The manual might as well not be there. For example, I got a flashing error "22" on the scanner's display, and tried to find out what it was. It wasn't in the manual or in the help. I finally figured out I had the TMA in backwards (it fits in perfectly well in both the right and wrong orientation), but the documentation was no help at all. Several emails to HP were no help. The scanner is what it is, I guess. It didn't cost a lot and doesn't really do much. Having the TMA and the auto feeder on this scanner is like a dancing bear - you are not amazed at how well it dances, just that it dances at all.

Customer Review: Doesn't work on a MAC at all. Works intermittently on a PC
I spent three hours with HP technical support trying to make this thing work. The things they had me try were basic, like removing and then reinstalling cables, cycling power, and like. Gee why didn't I think of that? They blamed everything else but the scanner. When I refused to reinstall the hardware yet again, HPs solution was to request I buy a more expensive HP product. I remember when HP produced quality products. Not anymore!
Customer Review: Not worth the money
I usually buy off of Amazon, but this time I bought off of CompuBizUSA to save money. What a joke? I don't advise it. They have poor customer service. My HP 8300 had glue underneath the glass and I had a hard time getting that replace. I finally got my scanner and I hate it. No matter what I do, the pictures all come out with dust, scratches and it would take me along time to clean up. I thought this would be a nice scanner. Not a good one and now I am stuck with it. CompuBizUSA does not have satisfaction guarantee. I will never buy from them again. Bad investment and I will tell HP also.

HP PSC 1209 Multifunction Printer, Scanner and Copier

Why crowd your desk with a printer, scanner, and copier when this efficient all-in-one can do it all? Make copies of documents; scan, enlarge, and print snapshots; even produce your own stickers and iron-on transfers. And do it fast: the PSC 1209 model prints at up to 10 pages per minute in color, 12 black.
Customer Review: Great budget multi-function printer
Bought this multi-function printer two years ago (to replace an Epson piece of junk) and it has since exceeded my expectations. I use Mac OS X and HP now provides software that supports more of the advanced features including scanning and printer sharing. It's not going to beat a two thousand dollar laser system, but for light use as a printer/scanner/copier, it gets the job done. The inks are expensive but last a while.
Customer Review: Two years and counting
Well, I guess I've had this guy for about 2 years now? I bought it on sale. And what a bargain it's turned out to be. It scans: and I've been scanning a ton of my old photos from days gone by. It might be a little slower than I like, and the bed could be a little larger, and it's a bit noisy, but at least I don't have a separate scanner anymore. It copies: Oh the convenience of having a small copier around when you need one. It even has the option of copying in either color or b/w. Of course, since it uses the scanner bed, all of the scanner comments apply. It prints: Yes, it prints, and far better than my old printer - but then it really was old. The print quality is quite good. It has 3 quality options from Fast to Normal to High. And if you're using the right paper, the High is very good indeed. Downside: The paper will on occasion not feed, occasionally enough to mention it here. Upside: It comes with all kinds of photo processing software (most of which I don't use). It has a separate b/w and Color print head. That is convenient because if the color runs out it can run in b/w mode only (or visa versa). Other things: It will tell you when your running low on ink, and even open a web page so you can order directly from HP. Other than that, this is a perfect little Printer/Scanner/Copier for the home.
